They’re a big chunk to bite off, but even then, you gotta chew on the sonofabitch for so long you worry that all the taste goes clean out of them. I’ve been wrestling with this thing for awhile and I keep getting close to throwing the damn thing away. I have to really ask myself if I’m deluding myself or if there’s something there. It’s hell. But I guess that’s the price, right?
Found out about PLOTS WITH GUNS a few weeks back. I stumpled upon CONTROLLED BURN by Scott wolven, loved it. Listened on line to an’ interview with him and he talked of PLOTS…I just googled it, found it. Read your story. Now I’m on your page writing you. I like your style. I have a style that would fit well with yours and Scott wolvens. I dare say I’m as good. I’m just now wanting to get my stuff out there, so to speak. Any advice?? How hard was it to get this blog page going?? Sorry to ramble on here Just thought I’d take a shot at getting a lil’ help from someone who knows the ropes. Thanks.
Thanks for stopping by. The blog is easy enough (hell, I figured out how to do it and I’m not technologically inclined). All I did is went to wordpress.com and followed the instructions. I know there are some other providers, too.
I don’t know that I have any advice other than find the publications that champion the style of work you write and follow their submission guidelines.

My stars, darlin. Read that one while I was painting my nails, and had it finished before they were dry.

“Mikey’s Old Man” is good. Bukowski-esque in the best sense of the word. Looking for more…

Don,
Thanks for the kind words. More should be available shortly. And if I could ever finish this damn novel…

I know exactly what you mean about the novel. I have tried and tried. Haven’t given up, of course, but they are a big chunk to bite off, aren’t they?
